FlyBase:Personal communications to FlyBase

'Unpublished data', such as a mutant phenotype, GAL4 expression pattern, or negative result, may be submitted to FlyBase as a 'personal communication' - just use the <contact FlyBase> form and choose 'Personal communication' from the subject line menu. (Note that FlyBase does not capture data from oral presentations at meetings or seminars, from posters, conference abstracts or by word of mouth.) Each personal communication is assigned a FlyBase reference (FBrf) identifier number, and the associated data are tied to this citation in the database. These references will appear in the FlyBase bibliography and become citable publications upon entry into the public FlyBase database. We encourage the citation of these personal communications in the literature in the form:
