The Image Report provides information on Drosophila anatomical images that have been captured from sources, mainly the literature, with permission. Most of these images are drawings and diagrams representing the wild-type anatomy and development of Drosophila melanogaster. FlyBase associates these images with controlled terms from ontologies used throughout FlyBase, especially the Drosophila anatomy ontology, and maps out areas of an image that correspond to these terms.
Requests for permission to use a copyrighted image should be directed to the copyright holder of the original image and not to FlyBase.
This is a field-by-field guide to the information that is provided in the Image Report.
Image Data
